Car rental excess insurance

  

New Zealand's 1st Standalone Car Rental Excess Insurance Company

Reimbursement Cover: In the event that the rental vehicle is stolen or damaged, the rental car company will charge your credit card for the excess or gap amount. You can then claim for reimbursement under your Allianz Partners Rental Vehicle Excess and Luggage Insurance policy.

What is covered:

Covers the excess liability fees (up to the limit selected) of your rental car for theft
and damage including:

  • Multi and single vehicle accidents (SVA)
  • Windscreens, cracked or damaged
  • Tyres, wheels and undercarriage damage
  • Overhead damage
  • Lights damage
  • Bumpers and trim (excludes normal wear and tear which is covered by car rental company).

Domestic Inbound: Car rental excess for Overseas Visitors and New Zealanders renting cars and campervans in New Zealand.

  • Covers up to NZD $6000 NZD insurance policy excess reduced to $0 (depending on age)
  • Luggage and personal effects covered up to NZD $1500. (max. $500 per person)
  • No distance restrictions from main residence, loan rental cars cover accepted.
  • Covers all authorised and eligible age drivers listed on the car rental agreement (see Domestic Policy Wording).
  • Relocation of car rental to the value of NZD $500 if medically unfit to do so.
  • Campervans up to 4.5 Tonnes.

International Outbound: Car rental excess for New Zealanders (only) going overseas.

  • Covers up to NZD $4000 cover (insurance policy excess reduced to $0).
  • Luggage and personal effects covered up to NZD $1500. (max. $500 per person)
  • Covers all authorised and eligible age drivers listed on the car rental agreement (some age restrictions apply).
  • Relocation of car rental to the value of NZD $500 if medically unfit to do so.
  • Campervans up to 4.5 Tonnes.
